Xion (XION) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
The token was created as XION with an initial supply of 200 million at the December 2024 launch. Its public name and ticker later changed to VERONA on a one-for-one basis. The rename did not create a second network or require holders to move their native balances to a new contract. Some technical identifiers still contain the older name, including the on-chain denomination uxion. (xion.burnt.com)
At launch, 25,559,333 tokens were unlocked. The remaining 174,440,667 were placed under a published 48-month unlock schedule. Those figures describe the original distribution. They do not make the initial supply a permanent cap: the proof-of-stake system also has a minting mechanism whose parameters can be changed through network governance. (xion.burnt.com)
The native token has three central network roles. People can stake it with validators to help secure the chain, use it in governance, and pay for network activity. Holders may delegate tokens to a validator, while validators process transactions and take part in maintaining the ledger. Because apps can sponsor users’ fees, someone using a Verona-based service may interact with the network without handling the native token for each action. The project also describes an economic model tied to activity from applications, business verification, and agent-driven services. (xion.burnt.com)
Assumptions
Xion minted 200 million tokens at its December 2024 launch and published vesting schedules for ecosystem, team, foundation, backer and community allocations. A community airdrop has an announced upper-limit budget, but its claim totals and timing are unresolved; foundation spending and the division of network rewards also lack dated amounts. The chart can show the published unlocks and an estimated interpolation of subsequent net supply growth, but the explorer’s approximately 212.08 million tokens on October 1, 2026 show that the original 200 million was not a supply cap.
- Protocol Development & Foundation Treasury — 15% of initial supply: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- Believe in Something: The First Spark airdrop — up to 5% of initial supply: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- PoS network issuance and validator rewards: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.

Allocations
Parts of this allocation with their own release dates are charted as their own allocations; the chart shows the rest here.
Estimated from the last observation onward: about 18,165 per day (552,910 per month), the rate between the observations of 5 December 2024 and 1 October 2026.
