Overview
Vision (VSN) is a cryptocurrency used across an ecosystem connected to Bitpanda. It brings together two earlier tokens: Bitpanda Ecosystem Token (BEST), which supported customer benefits, and Pantos (PAN), which focused on moving assets between blockchains. VSN gives these activities a shared token for rewards, governance, and selected fees. The wider Vision project includes a self-custody wallet, a service for cross-chain swaps, and a planned Ethereum-based network called Vision Chain. (support.bitpanda.com)
The distinction between the token and the products around it matters. People can hold and use VSN today, while some proposed uses depend on features that are still being developed. Understanding Vision therefore means looking at both its working services and the role planned for its own blockchain. (blog.vision.now)

History & Team
From BEST and Pantos to Vision
Bitpanda announced the plan to combine BEST and PAN in March 2025. BEST had been tied mainly to benefits on Bitpanda. Pantos supplied the starting point for Vision’s work on interoperability, or making different blockchains easier to use together. VSN launched on July 16, 2025, after a migration period for holders of the older tokens. The fixed exchange rates were 4.91 VSN for each BEST and 0.89 VSN for each PAN. (blog.bitpanda.com)
The VISION web3 Foundation, based in Switzerland, develops and finances the token project. Bitpanda GmbH works on technical infrastructure and customer benefits, while Pantos GmbH contributed research behind the cross-chain technology. This arrangement gives Vision links to an established trading platform while placing token development with a separate foundation. The foundation also manages resources used for development, rewards, and other ecosystem activities. (cdn.bitpanda.com)
Community participation began to take a more direct form in May 2026. In Vision’s first governance vote, holders approved a change to the token’s yearly issuance rate. It was a concrete example of holders influencing an economic setting rather than simply receiving benefits set by the project team. (blog.vision.now)
Technology & How It Works
A token across several products
VSN was first issued as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. An ERC-20 token follows a common set of rules, allowing compatible wallets and applications to handle it. Vision’s design also supports use on other networks. This lets the same ecosystem token serve people who use different blockchain tools, instead of tying every activity to one app. (cdn.bitpanda.com)
Vision Protocol handles swaps in the Vision Wallet. It brings together routes from outside providers so a user can exchange assets, including across networks, through one interface. The underlying route may involve more than one service. The wallet presents the steps as a single user experience, while Vision Protocol handles how a route is selected. (bitpanda.com)
The planned Vision Chain
Vision Chain is designed as an Ethereum Layer 2 network built with the OP Stack. A Layer 2 processes transactions outside Ethereum’s main network, then posts data back to Ethereum for settlement. Vision’s published design adds transaction screening and a system for proving that Layer 2 activity was processed correctly. Its intended uses include tokenized financial products and applications that need checks on who can send or receive assets. (vision.now)
The chain’s underlying transaction fees are denominated in ETH. Its planned paymaster feature would let eligible users pay those fees with VSN while handling the ETH payment behind the scenes. Vision also describes options for euro-based fee payments. These are different ways to present and settle a fee; they do not make every Vision product use the same payment method. (blog.vision.now)
Tokenomics & Utility
Vision began with 4.2 billion VSN. Its supply model allows new tokens to be created for staking rewards, so the initial amount is not a permanent maximum. A yearly issuance rate that began near 5% was reduced to about 2.5% after the May 2026 governance vote. Staking rewards come from this issuance model. People staking through the Vision Wallet receive sVSN, a token representing their share of its staking pool. (cdn.bitpanda.com)
The original allocation reflected the BEST and PAN migration. The foundation retained 445,077,483 VSN from the initial supply for purposes that include reserves, liquidity, grants, and promotions. Vision also uses periodic token burns, which permanently remove tokens. Burns and newly issued staking rewards work in opposite directions, so both matter when describing changes to supply. VSN has several practical roles. Holders can take part in governance, stake tokens, and use applicable benefits in Bitpanda products. For example, paying for eligible Bitpanda trading fees with unstaked VSN provides a 20% fee discount. On Vision Chain, the planned paymaster service would add another use: paying eligible network fees in VSN. Each benefit has its own product rules and availability. (support.bitpanda.com)
The Vision Chain design also links network activity to the foundation’s treasury. It calls for 10% of net sequencer revenue attributable to the foundation to fund on-chain VSN purchases. A sequencer is the part of a Layer 2 that orders and processes transactions. Tokens bought through this mechanism are intended for the treasury; they are separate from tokens removed through a burn. Ecosystem & Use Cases
Wallet, swaps, and customer benefits
The Vision Wallet is a self-custody app, meaning users control the keys to assets held in it. It supports swaps and staking, and connects users to other on-chain activities. Vision Protocol supplies routing for wallet swaps by working with multiple outside providers. Together, the wallet and protocol give VSN a place in an everyday Web3 experience rather than only on a trading screen. (vision.now)
Bitpanda gives the token another setting. VSN can be used for eligible fee benefits, while Vision-related rewards and access features connect it to customer activity. The project’s broader plan is to link these existing products with applications built on Vision Chain. Grants are intended to support builders creating uses for the network and the token. (vision.now)
Vision Chain’s focus is tokenization: representing assets and financial activities on a blockchain. Its proposed screening tools are aimed at organizations that need to check transactions and participants. This could make the network relevant to both individual users and institutions, although the range of uses will depend on the applications built and launched there. (vision.now)
Advantages & Challenges
Vision’s main advantage is how its pieces fit together. BEST contributed a history of customer benefits, Pantos contributed cross-chain research, and Bitpanda provides a route for people to encounter the token. The wallet and Vision Protocol are operating parts of the ecosystem. Governance has also moved beyond a plan: holders have voted on a major supply setting. (support.bitpanda.com)
The main challenge is turning that collection of products into steady use for VSN. A wallet swap, for example, can involve an outside provider with its own fees and technical requirements. Adding consistent token benefits across those routes takes more work than adding a simple discount label. Vision Chain presents a larger task: its planned fee system, screening, and tokenization tools must work together for builders and users. The project has described wallet usability, chain readiness, and further integrations as priorities. (blog.vision.now)
Where to Buy & Wallets
VSN is available on Bitpanda, Kraken, Gate, KuCoin, Bitget, MEXC, and HTX, among platforms listed by Vision. Platform access depends on location and each service’s rules. Binance Alpha is also listed by Vision as a way to access VSN through Binance Wallet. (vision.now)
VSN can be held in the Vision Wallet or in a compatible self-custody wallet for the network on which the tokens are stored. Ethereum-based VSN uses the ERC-20 standard. A Bitpanda account offers a different arrangement: Bitpanda holds the assets within its platform, while the Vision Wallet gives users control of their wallet keys. That difference helps explain why staking and governance may have different steps in each setting. (cdn.bitpanda.com)
Regulatory & Compliance
Vision has a published crypto-asset white paper under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, or MiCA. Bitpanda GmbH notified Austria’s Financial Market Authority of an updated version published on August 24, 2026. MiCA uses white-paper notification to provide disclosures about assets of this type; notification and approval are different regulatory steps. (blog.vision.now)
The Vision Chain design includes checks at two points: when assets enter or leave through its bridge, and before transactions reach its sequencer. These checks are intended to address matters such as sanctions and transaction screening. The foundation is based in Switzerland, while Bitpanda’s role in offering the token connects it to the European regulatory framework. Access to products and trading venues still depends on the rules of each jurisdiction. (vision.now)
Vision’s published token materials do not give VSN a formal halal or Shariah-compliance classification. A religious assessment would need to consider the particular activity, including how staking rewards or other services are used, as well as the criteria applied by the scholar or certifying body. (cdn.bitpanda.com)
Future Outlook
Vision’s next stage centers on connecting its working wallet and swap services to Vision Chain. The proposed network is meant to support tokenized assets, screened transactions, and applications built by outside teams. Its fee options and treasury purchase mechanism would give VSN roles tied to activity on that network. The extent of those roles will become clearer as the chain and its applications develop. (vision.now)
The team has also identified simpler wallet use and more network integrations as priorities. For readers following the project’s development, the useful distinction is between features already in use—such as swaps, staking, and governance—and uses designed for the future chain. (blog.vision.now)
Summary
Vision combines the histories of BEST and Pantos in one token linked to Bitpanda and a wider Web3 project. VSN already supports staking, governance, and selected customer benefits, while the Vision Wallet and Vision Protocol provide ways to use on-chain services. Vision Chain is intended to extend that ecosystem toward tokenized finance. Its place in crypto will be shaped by how well those existing products and planned network uses work together.
