Stronghold (SHX) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.

Supply and distribution
Stronghold created a fixed original limit of 100 billion SHx. About 5% was distributed to early users in the 2018 airdrop. The original supply limit describes how many tokens were created; it does not mean every token is available for use at once. Some tokens can remain held for ecosystem purposes or locked under a release schedule. (stronghold.co)
Stronghold placed 60 billion SHx into a five-year escrow system built with Stellar’s Soroban smart-contract technology. The arrangement uses 60 accounts, each holding one billion tokens, with scheduled monthly expirations. Stronghold says unused tokens are placed back into escrow for another five years after an account’s expiration. The system makes that part of the supply schedule visible on-chain. (stronghold.co)
What gives SHx a role?
SHx connects several parts of Stronghold’s business model. Merchants can redeem rewards points for tokens or for reductions in payment-processing fees. The token also appears in Stronghold’s merchant-financing program: financing pools help provide capital, and an origination fee for merchant cash advances is paid in SHx. A completed governance vote directed 70% of that fee to be burned, meaning those tokens are removed from the available supply. (stronghold.co)
Holders can also vote on proposals. Under Stronghold’s published governance rules, voting power is based on SHx held at a recorded point in time, with one whole token counting as one vote. That gives holders a defined way to express preferences on eligible ecosystem decisions. (docs.shx.stronghold.co)
Assumptions
SHX has a fixed supply of 100 billion tokens, all created at once on Stellar in December 2018, and no mining, staking or inflation adds more. About 5% (roughly 5 billion) was airdropped to early users at the end of 2018, and the other ~95 billion was kept by Stronghold for ecosystem purposes with no published release calendar. That remainder has no dates, so it is listed but not charted. The explorer's total supply is about 252 million below 100 billion, which suggests that many tokens were removed. The chart shows the December 2018 creation and the approximate airdrop. The airdrop size and the burn total are estimates.

Allocations
Parts of this allocation with their own release dates are charted as their own allocations; the chart shows the rest here.
Not yet scheduled: 81,479,563,836.168 tokens of its parts have no release date yet. The chart shows them as TBD from today, not as unlocked.
