Shutter (SHU) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Assumptions
Shutter created its fixed one-billion-SHU supply at launch in January 2024; later vesting and treasury payments redistribute those existing tokens. The chart can date the genesis mint, pool funding, the February 2024 OTC sale’s vesting and the Protocol Guild pledge, although the OTC monthly dates and Protocol Guild vesting endpoint are partly modeled. Most individual genesis vesting amounts and dates, staking payouts and future DAO spending remain unresolved. Treasury grants listed separately are parts of the reserve, not extra tokens.
- DAO reserve: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- SPT holders: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Early community members: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Artis market-making and liquidity grant: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- DAO-funded Keyper and delegate staking rewards: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- Greenfield Labs unclaimed genesis allocation restoration: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- Treasury-funded Keyper compensation: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.

Allocations
Parts of this allocation with their own release dates are charted as their own allocations; the chart shows the rest here.
Not yet scheduled: 621,478,246.013 tokens of its parts have no release date yet. The chart shows them as TBD from today, not as unlocked.
Description
#4071
Shutter Network is an open-source project that aims to prevent frontrunning and malicious MEV on Ethereum by using a threshold cryptography-based distributed key generation protocol. A Shutter transaction is a transaction protected from frontrunning in the target smart contract system.
