Overtake (TAKE) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
Supply and distribution
TAKE’s published total supply is 1 billion tokens. The project’s distribution plan divides that supply among community participation, ecosystem development, early supporters, and other needs: (overtake.gitbook.io)
- 30% for community rewards
- 17.5% for ecosystem operations and liquidity
- 7% for an OVERTAKE airdrop and 0.5% for a Kaito airdrop
- 6% for exchanges
- 8% for marketing and partnerships
- 15% for investors
- 16% for core contributors
The release schedule, often called vesting, differs by category. For example, the community reward allocation is scheduled to vest over 60 months. Investor tokens have a six-month waiting period before a 24-month release schedule, while core contributor tokens have a 12-month waiting period before release over 36 months. Vesting spreads the distribution of these allocations over time. (overtake.gitbook.io)
Participation and governance
TAKE supports staking and governance. Staking means placing tokens into a program under its rules; Overtake’s website presents an active staking application. Its governance materials describe a system in which staked TAKE and verified contributions can influence proposal votes. That design gives weight to participation in the ecosystem as well as token holdings. (overtake.world)
The whitepaper also describes community rewards for buyers, sellers, developers, and people who help bring others into the ecosystem. Rewards are tied to measurable activities such as completed trades, useful feedback, or building tools. These distributions come from designated token allocations. Separately, contributor-operated applications may use their service fees to support operations and ecosystem programs. (overtake.gitbook.io)
TAKE has implementations on both Sui and BNB Smart Chain. The project’s token repository describes the Sui version as having a fixed one-billion-token mint and identifies the separate contract used on BNB Smart Chain. Wallets and transfers therefore need to match the version of TAKE being used. (github.com)
Assumptions
Overtake’s Sui token repository specifies an initial mint of one billion TAKE, while its whitepaper divides that supply among eight allocations. Exchanges unlock at launch; community, ecosystem, airdrop, marketing, investor and contributor allocations have stated vesting terms. The Kaito airdrop has a known budget and seasonal shares, but its unlock dates remain unresolved. The chart shows the published allocation unlocks using modeled day-level endpoints; actual claims, reward payments and treasury transfers are not measured by that curve.
- Community Reward: New issuance depends on network activity, such as staking, so it cannot be dated in advance.
- Ecosystem Operation & Liquidity: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- OVERTAKE Airdrop: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- Kaito Airdrop: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Marketing & Partnership: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
