The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.

Tokenomics & Utility
The original MASA model
CoinList’s sale materials stated a total MASA token supply of 1,588,866,523. Its 2024 community sale allocated 111,220,657 MASA. For that sale allocation, 25% was scheduled for release at the token’s exchange listing, with the remainder released gradually over six months. The token had several proposed and historical uses. Masa offered MASA rewards in its AI data pools, giving people an incentive to contribute data points. It also allocated tokens to an incentivized Bittensor testnet, where miner rewards were tied to the amount and quality of data and computing work supplied. Masa’s protocol whitepaper discussed staking and rewards for different network roles. In simple terms, the token was meant to help pay for useful participation, rather than serve only as a record of ownership. (paragraph.com)
The later Gopher rebrand introduced plans for a GOAI token and a MASA-to-GOAI transition. MASA’s original supply figure and sale schedule therefore belong to the token’s launch history; they do not describe a completed Gopher token distribution. Assumptions
Masa published token budgets for its team, advisors, sales, community, Oracle rewards and treasury. CoinList and treasury vesting have dated terms, while the private-sale dates use an estimated sale anchor; the team splits, amended airdrop lockups and most reward payments remain undated. The chart can show those dated unlocks and an explicitly estimated initial-creation point, but it cannot show complete distributions or reconcile that historical issued quantity with verified current supply and burns.
