Agoric (BLD) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
BLD’s Roles and Distribution
BLD is the network’s staking and governance token. Validators help confirm transactions, and holders can delegate BLD to validators to support that work. Staking rewards provide an incentive to take part. BLD holders can also vote on governance proposals, including decisions about network operations and economic settings. (agoric.com)
Agoric’s launch allocation assigned 1 billion BLD across groups with different purposes. Early contributors received 18.6%, network and decentralization programs 17%, and operations and the foundation 12.5% each. Other allocations went to private-sale participants, early backers, community and ecosystem programs, public-sale participants, and advisers. Several groups had release schedules that spread token distribution over time. Staking rewards were separate from this launch allocation. (dev.agoric.com)
The token’s fee role has evolved. Agoric originally paired BLD with IST, a stable token used for network fees. IST was sunset in 2025, and Agoric moved toward BLD as its primary gas and fee token. Its updated economic design describes applications funding contract execution and cross-chain work in BLD. It also describes a small “postage” charge for submitting actions and governance-directed treatment of collected fees. The detailed fee mechanisms are part of a broader tokenomics plan that requires network implementation and governance decisions. (community.agoric.com)
Assumptions
Agoric created one billion BLD for its published launch allocations, with documented vesting terms for contributors, backers, advisors and sale purchasers. Operations, foundation and ecosystem spending, part of the private-sale timing, and a DCF grants earmark cannot be placed on a complete dated release curve. BLD staking rewards add new supply without a documented end; the chart estimates historical growth between the supplied total-supply reference points. Those reference points conflict with later discussions of continuing inflation, so the flat segment after May 2024 is not evidence that minting ended.

Allocations
Parts of this allocation with their own release dates are charted as their own allocations; the chart shows the rest here.
Not yet scheduled: 318,862,588.724 tokens of its parts have no release date yet. The chart shows them as TBD from today, not as unlocked.
Backend estimate, not researched: the growth of CoinGecko's total supply (11,635,923 tokens) over 2023-12-25 to 2026-09-30, where the research dates no issuance
