VitaDAO (VITA) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
VitaDAO lists a total VITA supply of 64,298,880 tokens. The supply figure was chosen in connection with the lifespan of Jeanne Calment, the longest-lived person in recorded history. VitaDAO’s original token plan described a cap linked to that figure, with a possible change only if a person lives longer than Calment. The first public community auction took place in June 2021 and accounted for 10% of the planned supply. (vitadao.com)
The token plan also sets aside portions for service providers and working groups. Later allocations supported strategic contributors. VitaDAO’s token page distinguishes these allocations from tokens that remain unminted, an important detail when reading its distribution figures: the total supply figure describes the plan’s full scale, while token creation and allocation follow governance decisions. VITA’s main utility is participation. Holders can vote on research proposals, treasury matters, and changes to the DAO’s processes. Contributors have also received VITA for work in the organization. A token holder’s influence grows with the number of tokens used in a vote, making participation levels and token distribution meaningful parts of the governance model. (vitadao.com)
Assumptions
VitaDAO allocated its initial VITA to the community auction, service providers and working groups, and later authorized a strategic-contributor mint. Further minting depends on governance, while several contributor and treasury budgets lack verified payment dates. The dated supply chart uses estimated launch and fundraising mint dates and estimates changes between reported supply observations; it does not show verified monthly mint transactions. The accessible Ethereum explorer figure differs from the supplied October 2026 reference total, so the current all-chain supply and cumulative burns cannot be fully reconciled.
