Don't get the obsession of benchmarking all alts to recent SPY returns. Risk targets for most long-term savers is closer to 60/40 and alts are there for diversification.
Much better to look at funds' alpha & IR vs. 60/40 to get a sense of value ...

TLT and SPY are down roughly the same today are Warsh's comments.
That's mechanical. Higher discount rates directly drag on stock prices (through lower discounted future earnings).
But it *should* be worse for stocks b/c higher rates drag on growth...
