Overview
SoSoValue is a crypto research and investment platform that brings market information, index products, and trading tools into one ecosystem. Its token, SOSO, connects those products. It is used for activity on ValueChain, the project’s blockchain, and for features tied to governance, trading, and user rewards. The wider platform has four main parts: the SoSoValue research terminal, SoSoValue Indexes (SSI), the SoDEX exchange, and ValueChain. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
These parts serve different needs. The terminal helps people study crypto markets. SSI offers tokens that follow baskets of assets. SoDEX provides on-chain trading, while ValueChain supplies the network on which parts of the ecosystem run. SOSO is the common token across this structure. Learning what each product does makes the token’s role easier to understand. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)

History & Team
From research tools to an on-chain ecosystem
SoSoValue began with a focus on making crypto information easier to use. It later added index products, trading infrastructure, and a dedicated blockchain. Its SSI documentation describes an initial set of index tokens introduced in December 2024. SOSO entered exchange spot trading in January 2025, when Gate announced a SOSO listing. The project subsequently developed ValueChain and SoDEX as further parts of its system. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
SoSoValue identifies May Wang and Jivva Kwan as co-founders on its platform. Its project materials also describe a $15 million Series A financing round co-led by HSG and SmallSpark. The token allocation reserves a share for core contributors, which includes the people building the products and supporting the ecosystem. (sosovalue.com)
Technology & How It Works
One token across several networks
SOSO was first issued as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum and was then made available on Base. On ValueChain, SOSO is the native token: it pays the network fees needed to process transactions. The project uses a bridge to move SOSO between the earlier networks and ValueChain. In a transfer from Ethereum or Base, tokens are locked on the source network and an equal amount is released from a reserve on ValueChain. This design connects the token’s different network forms without creating a separate, growing supply for each one. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
ValueChain supports Ethereum-compatible applications. Its design includes a general EVM system chain and specialized application chains. SoDEX uses this infrastructure for its on-chain order-book exchange. In practical terms, SOSO can serve as the network’s gas token while also taking part in applications built around that network. (sodex.com)
How the index products work
SSI works differently from SOSO. An SSI token represents exposure to a basket of underlying crypto assets, such as a group of major tokens or tokens from a particular sector. An index compiler sets rules for the basket, including which assets qualify and how they are weighted. Rebalancing updates the holdings to match those rules. SOSO, by contrast, is the ecosystem token used for network activity and incentives. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
The SSI system gives approved, whitelisted participants the ability to create and redeem index tokens. Other participants help source and hold the underlying assets. When an SSI token’s trading price differs from the value of its basket, approved participants can create or redeem tokens and trade the difference. That process helps bring the two values closer together. The index design therefore relies on smart contracts as well as defined roles for index management, asset handling, and market activity. Tokenomics & Utility
Supply and distribution
SOSO has a fixed total and maximum supply of one billion tokens. The project’s allocation divides that supply among core contributors (33%), ecosystem programs (30%), the foundation (17%), investors (16.5%), and partners (3.5%). Together, these groups account for the full supply. The allocation shows two broad aims: funding long-term development and distributing tokens through participation in the ecosystem. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
Tokens allocated to core contributors and partners have an 18-month initial lock, followed by monthly releases over 36 months. Investor tokens have a 12-month initial lock, followed by monthly releases over 18 months. The foundation allocation supports work such as protocol development and ecosystem growth. The ecosystem allocation supports user incentives, community programs, and other participation. These release rules matter because the full supply and the amount available for use at a given time are different concepts. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
What SOSO does
The token’s documented roles include paying ValueChain transaction fees, taking part in network staking and governance, and reducing SoDEX trading fees through staking. The project also uses SOSO in participation programs linked to research-platform activity and SSI holdings. For example, its SSI rewards program describes SOSO distributions tied to holding or staking index tokens. Some additional uses, including broader premium-feature access, are part of the project’s developing utility plans. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
Ecosystem & Use Cases
Research, indexes, and trading
The SoSoValue terminal brings together crypto data and research tools. A reader might use it to compare sectors and study assets, then use an SSI index token to follow a chosen basket. SSI products described by the project include MAG7.ssi, focused on major crypto assets; DEFI.ssi, focused on decentralized finance; MEME.ssi, focused on meme tokens; and USSI, which follows a different hedged strategy. These are separate products with their own rules rather than alternate names for SOSO. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
SoDEX adds an order-book trading venue to that ecosystem. ValueChain provides the network beneath it, with SOSO used for native network activity. The connection among these services is the project’s central idea: research can help users understand an asset, index tools can organize groups of assets, and on-chain infrastructure can support transactions and trading. The value of SOSO’s utility is tied to those specific roles, not to ownership of every asset or product shown on the platform. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
Advantages & Challenges
SoSoValue’s main advantage is the way its products fit together. A single ecosystem covers information gathering, basket-based crypto exposure, and trading. Its published index rules explain how assets are selected and rebalanced, while its token documentation sets out SOSO’s supply, allocations, and network roles. That gives readers a clearer way to separate the research platform, the index products, and the token’s own uses. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
The same breadth makes the system more complex to learn. SOSO exists on Ethereum and Base as a token and on ValueChain as a native asset. SSI index tokens have their own creation, custody, and rebalancing process. Some index decisions are made through a project oversight committee, while approved participants carry out creation and redemption. Readers therefore need to distinguish between community governance for SOSO and the operating rules of individual SSI products. They also need to follow which SOSO features are already in use and which are still being developed. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
Where to Buy & Wallets
SOSO is available for spot trading on Gate and Bybit, and through the SOSO/USDC market on SoDEX. Supported access and account requirements depend on the platform and a user’s location. SOSO can also exist as an Ethereum or Base token, so the network selected for a transfer matters as much as the ticker symbol. The project publishes separate contract addresses for its Ethereum and Base versions. (gate.com)
Ethereum-compatible wallets can hold the ERC-20 forms of SOSO when set to the matching network. ValueChain’s native SOSO requires a wallet configured for ValueChain; SoDEX documentation describes connecting a Web3 wallet and adding that network. A transfer should use the network supported by both the sending service and the receiving wallet. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
Regulatory & Compliance
Access to SoSoValue’s services is shaped by both local rules and the project’s own terms. The published terms for the SSI website name Digvaluable Ltd. as the contracting company and exclude users from several jurisdictions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and mainland China. Approved participants who create or redeem SSI tokens must complete identity and business verification. These service conditions are distinct from whether SOSO appears on an exchange or can be held in a wallet. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
The project has also published a crypto-asset white paper under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets framework. Its documentation states that the paper has not been approved by an EU competent authority. For readers applying Islamic finance principles, the project does not document a formal Shariah certification for SOSO. A halal assessment would need to consider the particular activity involved, including the terms of staking or any index strategy, rather than treating every SoSoValue product as identical. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
Future Outlook
SOSO’s future role depends on how the surrounding products develop. ValueChain gives it an established purpose as a native fee token, while SoDEX connects it to trading and staking functions. The project says further token uses can be added through community voting. Continued work on SSI products, index creation tools, and participation programs could give users more ways to interact with the ecosystem, though each feature has its own design and requirements. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
An important measure of progress is how clearly these pieces work together. Research tools are useful when their information helps readers understand an asset. Index tokens depend on clear rules for their baskets and rebalancing. Trading tools depend on people being able to use the network and its token. SOSO sits at the point where those separate activities meet. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
Summary
SoSoValue combines crypto research, tokenized indexes, an on-chain exchange, and a dedicated blockchain. SOSO supports that ecosystem as ValueChain’s native token and as a tool for governance, staking, fees, and participation incentives. Its fixed supply and published distribution plan explain the token’s economic design; the platform’s products explain why it exists. Understanding SOSO starts with keeping those two ideas—and the distinct roles of SOSO and SSI index tokens—clear. (sosovalue-white-paper.gitbook.io)
