SATS (SATS)
Unlock Schedule
SATS (SATS) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
Supply and distribution
SATS has a stated maximum supply of 2.1 quadrillion tokens. That number mirrors the total number of satoshis implied by Bitcoin’s 21 million-coin limit: 21 million multiplied by 100 million. The matching number is a design theme; each SATS token has its own BRC-20 balance and does not equal one satoshi of BTC. Public inscriptions distributed the supply, rather than a scheduled series of team unlocks. (satscoin.vip)
Its best-documented functional use is within UniSat’s BRC-20 swap module. UniSat chose SATS as the module’s gas-fee token, citing its broad distribution and small unit size. Here, “gas” means a fee for using that particular swap system. A regular transaction recorded on the Bitcoin network still requires BTC to pay Bitcoin transaction fees. (docs.unisat.io)
The supply rules describe how units were created, but they do not promise a return or grant ownership of a business. SATS can serve as a transferable token, a cultural symbol, and a fee unit in supported applications. Which of those roles matters most depends on the service in which it is used. (satscoin.vip)
Assumptions
SATS entered supply through a public BRC-20 mint, not a genesis allocation or a scheduled mining reward. Its 2.1 quadrillion-token cap is fully minted, with completion reported on September 24, 2023; no further issuance is identified under that deployment. The chart shows growth from deployment to mint-out, but its monthly path is estimated between a few dated progress reports rather than measured from every mint.

Description
#771
$SATS coin is a cryptocurrency based on the Bitcoin Network, leveraging the ordinals protocol to create BRC-20 tokens without the need for smart contracts. These tokens, named for the smallest unit of Bitcoin known as Satoshis, aim to facilitate token creation and transactions on Bitcoin's blockchain.
