Orbiter Finance (ORBITER) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
Supply and distribution
OBT has a total supply of 10 billion tokens. Orbiter’s published allocation divides that supply into five parts: 40% for the community, 20% for ecosystem and growth, 15% for the Orbiter Foundation, 15% for the team and contributors, and 10% for investors. The community share was designed to support user distributions and other incentives. At the January 2025 token-generation event, the project reported an initial circulating allocation of 2.8 billion OBT, or 28% of the total supply. (orbiter.finance)
The first airdrop connected the token to Orbiter’s earlier users. O-Points reflected activity such as bridge transfers, while some community members and holders of eligible Orbiter NFTs also qualified under the project’s distribution rules. Orbiter later scheduled six monthly airdrop rounds in 2025. This distribution approach gave part of the token supply to people who had used or supported the ecosystem before and after the launch. What OBT does
Orbiter presents OBT as a governance and staking token and describes it as a step toward decentralization. Governance relates to participation in project decisions; staking is a way to commit tokens to a system under its rules. OBT also appears in Orbiter’s community program. For example, holding the token is one path to certain community roles, while higher-level roles can include proposal rights or OBT allowances. (orbiter.finance)
OBT’s functions are separate from the assets people commonly move through the bridge. A transfer of ETH between two networks is an ETH transfer arranged through Orbiter’s service; the token’s main described roles concern governance, staking, and participation in the surrounding ecosystem. Assumptions
Orbiter Finance issued an original 10 billion OBT and assigned it to community, ecosystem, foundation, team and investor budgets. The chart can show the announced TGE unlocks, six monthly airdrop budgets and an estimated monthly display of the foundation's 23-month vesting; these are unlocks of existing tokens, not new minting. Dates for much of the ecosystem budget and issuer-verified payment calendars for team and investors remain unresolved, so those amounts are listed but not placed on the dated unlock chart. A reported 100 million-token burn reconciles the original issuance with the 9.9 billion shown by the consulted Ethereum contract page.
