MegaETH (MEGA) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
MEGA has a stated total supply of 10 billion tokens. The project’s allocation chart groups the supply into approximately 53% for rewards tied to key performance indicators, 15% for community allocation, 15% for venture investors, 10% for the team and advisers, and 7% for the foundation and ecosystem reserve. These are rounded figures; the project’s published white paper provides a more detailed breakdown. (megaeth.com)
Rewards tied to milestones
The largest allocation follows a milestone-based distribution model. Holders can commit MEGA through the project’s Flux system. When a defined network target is reached and attested, eligible committed positions can receive a share of the related token release. The targets cover areas such as reliability, performance, adoption, and decentralization. A position’s maturity grows with the time it remains committed, which affects its share of a distribution. This connects token releases to measured network outcomes instead of using only a calendar schedule. (megaeth.com)
The wider economic model
MegaETH also connects MEGA to USDm, a stablecoin issued through Ethena’s infrastructure for use across the network’s applications. The MegaETH Foundation says rewards it receives from USDm are used to buy and accumulate MEGA. In this model, greater use of USDm can create more funds for those purchases. MEGA and USDm therefore have different roles: one is the protocol token, while the other is intended for dollar-denominated activity in apps. (megaeth.com)
Other token functions remain on the roadmap. Planned Proximity Markets would offer different levels of access near the sequencer, using auctions, MEGA locking, or both. Planned sequencer rotation would allow operators to stake MEGA as part of a system that selects sequencers across regions. Network transaction fees are currently described as payable in ETH, with MEGA fee payments listed as a future feature. (megaeth.com)
Assumptions
MegaETH documents a 10 billion MEGA initial supply allocated among the public sale, bonus pool, Echo and Fluffle holders, the team, VC investors, the foundation and KPI rewards. The April 30, 2026 Echo and Fluffle releases are quantified; Fluffle's remaining six months and the team's later vesting are shown with clearly marked timing estimates. The public-sale lockup split, later Echo and VC vests, bonus and foundation spending, and milestone-based rewards lack enough dates or amounts to chart fully. The initial mint is shown separately from releases of already-created tokens, and a verified supply-and-burn total for October 1, 2026 was not available.
- Sonar public sale: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Sonar bonus pool: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- Echo investors: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Foundation and ecosystem reserve: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- VC investors: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- KPI-based rewards: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.

Allocations
Parts of this allocation with their own release dates are charted as their own allocations; the chart shows the rest here.
Not yet scheduled: 7,905,179,889.596 tokens of its parts have no release date yet. The chart shows them as TBD from today, not as unlocked.
