Geodnet (GEOD) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
GEOD has a stated total supply of one billion tokens. The project identifies separate allocations for mining, the ecosystem, the team, investors, marketing, and a public sale. Mining tokens are distributed to eligible station operators, while team, investor, and ecosystem allocations follow longer unlock schedules. (docs.geodnet.com)
Station rewards begin with a base amount tied to effective online time, then change according to network rules and data quality. The base reward schedule halves each year at the end of June. Under the published schedule, an eligible triple-band station has a base rate of up to six GEOD per day from July 2026 through June 2027, before quality rules or location-based multipliers are applied. Triple-band stations are the type eligible for rewards under the current documentation. (docs.geodnet.com)
GEOD also supports access to correction services and participation in governance. A program called SuperHex lets holders stake tokens toward coverage in locations selected for network expansion. When a proposed area receives enough stake, station operators can deploy there under special reward rules. Governance voting uses a system linked to certain station-related NFTs, staked tokens, and locked tokens, rather than giving every unstaked GEOD holder the same direct vote. (docs.geodnet.com)
Commercial customers may pay for data in conventional currency. Geodnet says it uses 80% of data revenue to buy back and burn GEOD, permanently removing the purchased tokens from supply. This connects use of the positioning service to the token’s economic model without requiring every customer to purchase tokens directly. (geodnet.com)
Assumptions
GEODNET reports one fixed mint of 1 billion GEOD, divided among mining, team, investors, ecosystem, vendor and marketing, and public sale budgets. Mining rewards come from the existing pool: published per-station ceilings halve annually, but actual network-wide payouts depend on participation and performance. Investor and team vesting and several approved app and migration incentive budgets lack verified token-by-token payment dates or amounts. The chart can place the original mint approximately in the June 2022 launch period; it cannot responsibly turn the per-station rates or undated budgets into a quantified monthly distribution curve.
- Base-station mining rewards: New issuance depends on network activity, such as staking, so it cannot be dated in advance.
- Base-station mining rewards: Emission continues with no published future rate or end date.
- Team: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Investors: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- June 2023 investor round: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- April 2024 investor round: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- December 2024 investor round: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Ecosystem: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- GIP-3 cross-chain app rewards: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- GIP-3 Solana app airdrops: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- GIP-3 ioPay user rewards: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- GIP-4 mobile app and SDK incentives: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- GIP-7 Polygon-to-Solana migration bonus: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- Vendor and marketing: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Reported post-TGE employee and vendor grants: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Public sale: The sources give the amount but no release dates.

Description
#249
GEODNET is a blockchain-based Real-Time Kinematics network that uses decentralized infrastructure principles to significantly enhance positioning accuracy compared to standalone GPS. It aims to support AI-based autonomous systems by complementing on-device sensors like cameras, LiDAR, and IMUs with its global RTK network, providing 100x better position accuracy.
