Friend.tech (FRIEND) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.

Distribution and roles
FRIEND launched with Friend.tech’s May 2024 update. Its distribution focused on existing users through an airdrop tied to earlier platform activity. The announced allocation directed the tokens to the community rather than reserving a separate allocation for the team or venture investors. The token’s Base contract records balances and transfers, including claims made through its distribution functions. (galaxy.com)
The token’s clearest application within version 2 was Clubs. These were group spaces whose keys traded in FRIEND. A person buying a Club key therefore used the platform token to take part in that group’s key system. Friend.tech also paired FRIEND with other crypto assets on decentralized exchanges, allowing holders to swap it or supply assets to a trading pool. These uses differ from the original creator keys, which were bought and sold using ETH. (theblock.co)
That separation shaped the project’s economic model. A creator could earn from activity in their personal key market, while FRIEND linked the broader user distribution to the newer Club feature. Holding FRIEND by itself did not replace buying a particular creator’s key to enter that creator’s private chat. Each asset had a different role in the social experience. (faculty.washington.edu)
Assumptions
Friend.tech opened an 88-million-FRIEND community airdrop in May 2024 and announced a separate 12-million-FRIEND liquidity-mining budget over the following 12 months. Liquidity providers can also receive FRIEND-denominated trading fees, but neither those payments nor the actual incentive payouts have a verified token-by-token schedule. The supply chart uses dated total-supply observations for minting and estimates the changes between them; it cannot reliably split those mints between airdrop claims and other activity. The first days after launch and any future owner-controlled minting remain undated.
- Observed FRIEND minting, not separated by recipient: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Observed FRIEND minting, not separated by recipient: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- FRIEND liquidity-mining incentives: New issuance depends on network activity, such as staking, so it cannot be dated in advance.
- FRIEND-denominated fee sharing with liquidity providers: New issuance depends on network activity, such as staking, so it cannot be dated in advance.
