Supply and allocation

AURY has a stated maximum supply of 100 million tokens. Aurory’s published allocation describes 25% for game rewards, 24% for its treasury, 7% for an ecosystem fund, and 4% for exchange and market-making liquidity. The rewards allocation is intended for distribution through games, tournaments, and other product activities. The treasury supports work such as grants and partnerships. Within the ecosystem fund, Aurory describes a portion for its Aurorian-holder community organization and a portion for public initiatives, including content creation. (coingecko.com)

Aurory uses one main transferable ecosystem token rather than giving gameplay rewards an unlimited-supply blockchain token. It also uses in-game accounting units to measure activity before distributing AURY from reward pools. For example, Aurory has described AURY Shards as a way to track eligible play and calculate a player’s share of a weekly distribution. This design gives the game team a way to adjust rewards as game modes change without making every point earned in a battle a separate blockchain token. (docs.aurory.io)

What AURY does

Aurory describes AURY as the settlement token for trades in its marketplace. It can also be used for activities such as hatching eligible eggs and accessing certain paid game features. The project has offered AURY staking, in which participants receive a token called xAury as part of the staking process. These functions give AURY roles in the game economy beyond simply being earned as a reward. (docs.aurory.io)

Community decision-making needs a careful distinction. Aurory’s DAOry is a community group for Aurorian NFT holders, whose voting system is based on the NFTs. Aurory has also described a future role for AURY holders in certain game-development decisions as its economic system develops.
