Unlock Schedule
ai16z (AI16Z) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.

Supply and migration
The original AI16Z token had a maximum supply of about 1.1 billion tokens, according to its 2025 white paper. Its economic purpose was tied to the DAO concept: holders could participate in the community’s direction, while the token also served as a way to transfer value within the project’s activities. The white paper described access and fee-related uses on the auto.fun agent platform during that period. Those descriptions belong to the original project model, before the later token migration and foundation closure. (assets-cms.kraken.com)
The move to ELIZAOS was more than a ticker change. It created a successor token with a separate mint address and offered a 1:6 conversion under the migration arrangements. For example, an eligible balance of 100 AI16Z corresponded to 600 ELIZAOS under that ratio. Kraken’s exchange process used a November 11, 2025 snapshot to determine eligibility for its customers; other platforms published their own handling of the swap. The number of tokens in a wallet therefore needs to be read alongside the token’s name and mint address. (support.kraken.com)
AI16Z token ownership also differed from owning part of the open-source code. The framework could be downloaded and developed as software. Its continued development does not, by itself, create a new role for the original token. (github.com)
Assumptions
AI16Z was created in two mints on October 25, 2024: one billion tokens followed by another 100 million. The chart shows those two documented issuance events; it does not assign the tokens to beneficiaries whose amounts and transfer dates have not been established. Supply subsequently fell below the minted amount, but a cumulative burn total was not verified. No further dated AI16Z mint is documented, and the separate ELIZAOS migration supply is not counted here.
