Theta Fuel (TFUEL) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
As of November 6, 2026, 7.48 billion TFUEL have been released. The schedule is ongoing, with no final release date. Over the next 12 months it releases 396.49 million TFUEL (all estimated) from PoS network rewards, including Elite Edge Node uptime rewards, worth about $2.97 million at today's price (5.28% of the market cap). Today's release is an estimated 1.1 million TFUEL from PoS network rewards, including Elite Edge Node uptime rewards.
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.

Tokenomics & Utility
Theta created five billion TFUEL when its blockchain launched. Unlike THETA, which has a fixed supply of one billion tokens, the protocol issues additional TFUEL as rewards. Its economic model also removes some TFUEL through burning: tokens used for certain network payments and fees are permanently taken out of circulation. New issuance rewards participation, while burning links part of the token supply to network use. (docs.thetatoken.org)
TFUEL has several connected uses. It pays blockchain transaction and smart contract fees, supports payments for edge services, and rewards eligible node operators. People who stake THETA to help run Validator or Guardian nodes can earn newly issued TFUEL. People who stake TFUEL to an Elite Edge Node can qualify for a separate reward mechanism tied to that node’s availability. These roles serve different purposes: THETA staking supports blockchain validation, while TFUEL staking supports the edge network. (docs.thetatoken.org)
Theta introduced Elite Edge Node staking with Mainnet 3.0 in June 2021. Its documentation describes a staking range of 10,000 to 500,000 TFUEL per Edge Node. The network also introduced a rule to burn at least 25% of qualifying TFUEL payments to the edge network, alongside the burning of transaction and smart contract fees. (docs.thetatoken.org)

Assumptions
Theta Fuel began with five billion tokens created for THETA holders, followed by ongoing network rewards; Elite Edge Node rewards were added in June 2021. Guardian onboarding used existing reserves, while the funding and actual payment amounts of the earlier Pre-Elite Edge Node incentives remain unresolved. The chart can show the initial mint and estimated net growth between dated supply figures, but it cannot verify gross issuance, cumulative burns or the current total from an independent September 30, 2026 source.
