Sei Network (SEI) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule

As of October 16, 2026, 6.73 billion of the 10 billion SEI (67.33%) have been released. The remaining 1.41 billion SEI, all estimated, are worth about $88.32 million at today's price (20.88% of the market cap). Of these, 969.08 million SEI release over the next 12 months, from Private Sale Investors — 20% of maximum supply and Team — 20% of maximum supply. Today's release is an estimated 3.21 million SEI from Private Sale Investors — 20% of maximum supply and Team — 20% of maximum supply. SEI is fully unlocked in August 2029; after that date the schedule has no further dated releases.

The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. Tokenomics & Utility

SEI has a stated maximum supply of 10 billion tokens. Its allocation at mainnet launch assigned 48% to an ecosystem reserve, 20% to the team and core contributors, 20% to private investors, 9% to the foundation, and 3% to a launchpool. The ecosystem reserve supports uses such as staking rewards, grants, and incentives for network participants and builders. These percentages describe the planned distribution, not how many tokens are held by each group at a given moment. (blog.sei.io)

The token has several connected jobs. Users pay network fees in SEI when they transfer assets or interact with smart contracts. Validators stake it to participate in consensus, while other holders can delegate tokens to validators. Staked SEI also gives holders a way to vote on governance proposals about network changes. Some applications may use the token as an asset for payments, trading, or collateral, depending on the rules of that application. (blog.sei.io)

Staking rewards come from the network’s incentive structure, including allocated tokens and fees. Delegators choose a validator and share in rewards after its commission. Unstaking starts a 21-day unbonding period, during which the tokens cannot be transferred. This ties participation in network security to a longer commitment than an ordinary token transfer. Assumptions

Sei has a documented 10-billion-token cap, with ecosystem, investor, team, Foundation and Launchpool allocations; the chart retains reported launch creation and estimated dated vesting. Staking rewards, airdrops and most grants still lack complete payment schedules, and the ecosystem’s intermediate unlock rates remain unresolved. The Creator Fund bonus keeps its February 19 and August 19, 2025 releases and is now nested under the ecosystem grant budget, while the Builders Fund results quantify two matching pools without establishing payment dates. Token creation, spendability and transfers must be shown separately, and current on-chain total supply and cumulative burns remain unverified.
