Aave has lost its position as the biggest DeFi protocol by TVL. TVL fell from $26.396b (Apr 18) to $19.776b (Apr 19) after the Kelp DAO rsETH exploit. We can see withdrawals also across other lending protocols. https://t.co/jv44sAY8vD

Did you know there are people waking up on a Sunday who don’t care about rsETH, Aave, looping, or ETH borrow rates? They’re waiting for an influencer named Alix to reply on TikTok to a podcaster named Alex 🤡 https://t.co/ztiEfCgF2v

The rsETH bridge hack caused ~$300 million in direct losses that someone will have to “eat.” On top of that, it has already wiped out more than $200 million in Aave market cap. Unfortunately, another bad day for everyone building in DeFi.

30k of the 40k rseth in the bridge contract is re-deposited by the attacker so yeah basically all rseth on other chains got drained and are fully unbacked would be the best case assumption here
