Farcana (FAR) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
Supply and release
Farcana’s token documentation sets FAR’s total supply at 5 billion tokens. It describes allocations for investors, an ecosystem fund, advisers, and the team. Those groups follow different release schedules: investors have a six-month initial waiting period followed by monthly releases over 18 months; advisers and the team have nine-month waiting periods followed by 18 months of monthly releases. The ecosystem fund is described as releasing monthly over 36 months. These schedules explain how tokens were planned to enter circulation over time. (docs.farcana.com)
FAR’s original game uses include selected cosmetics, crafting materials, passes, and tournament access. Project materials also describe purchases made with ordinary payment methods, so a player’s contact with the token can vary by activity. In its wider FAR Labs plans, the team describes FAR as a token for AI-related services and participation in the computing network. (docs.farcana.com)
Staking and rewards
Farcana documentation describes a staking model in which tokens may be locked to take part in rewards. Its earlier design linked rewards to tokens repurchased by the project treasury. FAR Labs also describes staking as part of its proposed network economy. The key idea is that holding FAR, spending it in a game, and locking it in a staking product are separate activities with different purposes. (docs.farcana.com)
Assumptions
Farcana describes a fixed supply of 5 billion FAR, allocated to investors, the Ecosystem Fund, advisors and the team. Its published vesting terms specify monthly releases after category-specific cliffs, but the calendar dates on the chart are estimates anchored to the January 2024 listing. Part of the Ecosystem Fund has no established unlock date, and the announced community airdrop includes NFT-holder vesting whose aggregate eligible amount is unverified. Treasury-funded staking redistributes purchased tokens rather than creating new ones, and no dated FAR reward totals were found.
- Ecosystem Fund — 55% of maximum supply: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- First community airdrop, funded by Ecosystem Fund: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- Treasury buyback-funded staking rewards: New issuance depends on network activity, such as staking, so it cannot be dated in advance.
