Bitget Token (BGB)
Unlock Schedule
Bitget Token (BGB) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
As of October 16, 2026, 699.99 million BGB have been released. No further releases are scheduled; the schedule was fully unlocked in September 2025.
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
Distribution and burns
BGB began with an initial supply of two billion tokens. Its original allocation assigned 25% to the BFT swap, 20% to team incentives, 15% to ecosystem investment, 15% to branding, 15% to user acquisition, and 10% to a protection-fund allocation. These figures describe the launch plan, before later changes to the supply and the token’s management. (bitget.com)
A burn removes tokens from supply by sending them to an address from which they cannot be spent. Bitget completed a burn of 800 million team-held BGB in January 2025 and later carried out quarterly burns. Following the Morph partnership, 440 million BGB controlled by Bitget was transferred to the Morph Foundation. The foundation burned half of that amount and locked the other half for gradual release to support ecosystem work. The stated long-term plan connects further burns to Morph network activity, with a supply target of 100 million BGB. A supply target describes the project’s plan, while individual burns are completed actions. (bitget.com)
BGB’s utility is easier to see than its supply schedule. Bitget lets eligible users pay spot trading fees in BGB at a discount when the fee-payment option is enabled. Holdings can also count toward certain platform benefits, and BGB can be committed to eligible token programs. Each program has its own participation rules. (bitget.com)
Assumptions
Bitget originally allocated 2 billion BGB among the BFT swap, employees, ecosystem investment, promotion, user rewards and its protection fund. The chart places that original supply at launch as an estimate and records the documented transfer of 220 million existing BGB into the Morph Foundation Treasury; burns are reported separately. Employee unlock amounts after the 2024 burn, most recipient payments, Unity Drop quantities and future treasury spending lack a verified dated schedule. The listed burns are a documented lower bound, and an October 8, 2026 official total supply was not verified.
- BFT replacement: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- Employee incentives: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Employee incentives: The original schedule was changed and the new timing is not yet published.
- Bitget ecosystem investment: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- Promotion and branding: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- New-user acquisition and rewards: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- Bitget Protection Fund: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- Morph Foundation Treasury: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- Morph Unity Drop: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- BWB-to-BGB holder swap: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
