Alien Base (ALB) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
ALB, esALB, and rewards
ALB is an ERC-20 token on Base. Its main roles are governance, staking, and incentives for participation in the exchange. Holders can lock ALB to receive esALB, a non-transferable form used for voting and staking. The conversion from ALB to esALB is one-to-one. To convert back, a holder can use the protocol’s 30-day cooldown route or its limited gradual-release route. (github.com)
The platform calls the fee-based payments to esALB stakers “Real Yield.” These payments are distributed in assets such as wrapped ether, or WETH, rather than solely as newly issued ALB. This creates two different kinds of rewards to understand: ALB issued under the token’s incentive system and assets drawn from fees paid for using the exchange. The amount received through either route depends on the protocol’s rules and activity. (github.com)
How the supply plan has changed
The original ALB supply cap was 510 million tokens. At launch, 26 million ALB were minted. One million helped establish the first trading pool, while 25 million went into a timelock after the initial pool plan changed. Later issuance helped fund liquidity incentives, the DAO, and operations. The emission schedule changed several times as the project developed. (github.com)
In April 2026, DAO voters approved AIP-5, a major change to that model. It calls for farming rewards to wind down in favor of protocol-owned liquidity: assets and pool positions held by the DAO itself. The proposal also replaces a fixed halving schedule with more flexible emissions, sets out a tracked funding arrangement for development, and approves a one-time increase in the supply cap to 1.051 billion ALB. That figure is a permitted ceiling under the proposal, rather than a statement that all those tokens have been issued. The changes have been described as a staged on-chain rollout. (github.com)
Assumptions
Alien Base minted tokens at launch and has added more through farming and other protocol emissions. The issuance chart shows the launch mint and growth between dated total-supply measurements; monthly growth between those measurements is estimated, and the October 1 total has only secondary-source support. Separate launch, treasury, team, staking and liquidity budgets are identified without counting their transfers as new minting. Vesting dates and several spending decisions remain unresolved, while a proposed larger supply ceiling and its direct allocation have no verified activation or release date.
- Genesis timelock: growth, marketing and liquidity: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- Genesis timelock: founding team vesting: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- DAO share of emissions: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Team and contributor share of emissions: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- ALB rewards for single-staking and esALB stakers: New issuance depends on network activity, such as staking, so it cannot be dated in advance.
- AIP-2 targeted V3 vault boosts: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- AIP-5 proposed direct allocation increase: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.

Allocations
Parts of this allocation with their own release dates are charted as their own allocations; the chart shows the rest here.
Not yet scheduled: 25,000,000 tokens of its parts have no release date yet. The chart shows them as TBD from today, not as unlocked.
Estimated from the last observation onward: about 141,137 per day (4,295,868 per month), the rate between the observations of 28 September 2026 and 1 October 2026.
