Across Protocol (ACX) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The chart shows gross modeled releases of every allocation: vesting unlocks, new issuance and reserve distributions, each allocation counted once. These have different meanings; a scheduled release is not evidence that tokens entered circulation or were sold. Review the coverage, sources and assumptions below.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
ACX’s original role and planned sunset
ACX has a fixed supply of one billion tokens. Its distribution included tokens held by the Across DAO, the Risk Labs treasury, team members, investors, and community participants. Across also used token incentives for activities such as supplying bridge liquidity. These allocations help explain how the earlier DAO funded work and encouraged participation; they do not describe a continuing role for ACX after its planned phaseout. (across.to)
During the DAO period, ACX holders could vote on proposals affecting the protocol and its treasury. The governance model gave holders a way to take part in decisions beyond simply using the bridge. The vote to move Across to a corporate structure became a major example of that power in practice. (across.to)
Across now offers holders two exchange paths through its official portal: an application to exchange ACX for AcrossCo equity, or a redemption for USDC. Both are scheduled to close on January 8, 2027. The equity path has eligibility rules, identity checks, and a stated minimum holding, though smaller amounts may be considered. Across says ACX will have no governance, utility, or economic function after that date. (across.to)
Bridge users pay for transfers through the difference between the amount sent and the amount received. Across describes components that compensate relayers and liquidity providers. Those bridge fees and ACX’s governance history are separate parts of the project’s economic model. (docs.across.to)
Assumptions
Across initially minted one billion ACX; its published schedule partitions those tokens among the Foundation, team, DAO, investors and an existing-circulating balance. The chart can show the dated launch circulation, team installments, investor unlocks and two scheduled DAO distributions, while separately recording genesis creation rather than adding it to those releases. Earlier distributions, incentive payments, named funding requests and most of the remaining DAO balance lack verified payment dates, so they are disclosed but not assigned invented monthly releases. The published future team schedule predates Across’s September 2026 announcement that ACX is being sunset, making those future installments uncertain.
- Risk Labs Foundation reserve: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Across DAO Treasury balance in published unlock schedule: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- Existing circulating allocation in published schedule: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Initial community airdrop budget: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- DAO-funded liquidity-provider incentives: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- DAO-funded liquidity-provider incentives: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- Initial reward-locking commitment: New issuance depends on network activity, such as staking, so it cannot be dated in advance.
- Initial ACX/wstETH Balancer liquidity incentives: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Risk Labs Across v3 funding request: The sources give the amount but no release dates.
- Risk Labs retroactive and future development request: Releases depend on future governance or treasury decisions.
- Community Integration Campaign 2.0: Releases depend on recipients claiming tokens or on grants being awarded.
- Community Essentials Committee Q2–Q3 2025 request: The sources give the amount but no release dates.

Allocations
Parts of this allocation with their own release dates are charted as their own allocations; the chart shows the rest here.
Not yet scheduled: 248,467,367 tokens of its parts have no release date yet. The chart shows them as TBD from today, not as unlocked.
Description
