WEMIX is the network’s native coin. A 2023 “Brioche” hard fork introduced a permanent maximum supply cap of 590 million WEMIX and a “block minting halving” mechanism that gradually reduces the Permanent Minting Reward (PMR) per block over time. Initially set at 1 WEMIX per block, the PMR halves in multi‑year cycles to support long‑term scarcity while continuing to reward validators and contributors.
