Fluid (FLUID) Token Unlock & Vesting Schedule
The unlock chart above provides a clear visual overview of the Fluid (FLUID) token release schedule, showing when and how tokens enter circulation across investor, team, treasury, and community allocations. Understanding these tokenomics dynamics is critical for evaluating potential supply pressure, inflation impact, and market liquidity over time — key factors that can influence FLUID price performance.
Each color segment in the chart corresponds to a specific allocation group described in the Allocations section below. Underlying assumptions and data models used to reconstruct this schedule are explained in detail under Assumptions, while broader utility insights and token use cases are covered in Tokenomics & Utility.
Tokenomics & Utility
Supply, Address, and Migration
FLUID has a maximum supply of 100,000,000 tokens. The FLUID token inherits the original INST token address on Ethereum: 0x6f40d4A6237C257fff2dB00FA0510DeEECd303eb. In December 2024, the community approved a rebrand and 1:1 rename from INST to FLUID without changing the address or supply. (blog.instadapp.io)
Initial Allocation (“Fluid tokenomics”)
The token allocation framework, set at INST launch and preserved through the rebrand, was:
- 55% to the Instadapp/Fluid community
- 23.79% to current team (4‑year vesting)
- 12.07% to investors (4‑year vesting)
- 7.85% to future team and ecosystem partners
- 1.27% to advisors (4‑year vesting)
Vesting occurs continuously via smart contracts. Over time, DAO governance has discussed treasury usage, buybacks, and growth allocations as part of the Fluid rebrand plan. (blog.instadapp.io)
What the FLUID Token Does
- Governance: FLUID holders can propose and vote on upgrades, listings, risk parameters, DEX configurations, incentives, and treasury actions.
- Incentives: Programs have targeted lending participation and DEX liquidity to seed network effects.
- Potential Value Capture: Governance discussions include algorithmic revenue buybacks and treasury programs that may direct protocol revenue toward token‑related actions decided by the DAO. (gov.fluid.io)
In short, Fluid tokenomics emphasize community ownership, builder alignment, and optional value capture mechanisms that the DAO can refine over time.
Assumptions
- Airdrop net claimed modeled as 1,618,897 tokens distributed linearly from 2021-06-16 to 2021-09-16.
Initial 11M claimable at TGE; Snapshot passed to reclaim 8,612,197 (mainnet) + 768,906 (Polygon) unclaimed; exact claim timestamps granularly unavailable.
- Lending incentives modeled at ~0.2% of total supply per month from 2024-12-03 to 2025-10-03.
Rebrand plan authorized up to 0.5%/mo across lending+DEX; team update (2025-05-13) stated actual emissions around 0.2%/mo and only for lending; precise month-by-month on-chain figures not centrally published.
- Protocol-Owned Liquidity (POL) 2.5% treated as a single cliff on 2024-12-03.
Growth plan noted 2.5% ‘currently utilized’ for DEX liquidity; actual deployments occurred over time; simplified to one date for cumulative charting.
- DAO Treasury reserve and Future Team/Ecosystem reserve modeled as far-future cliffs.
No predefined vesting; both are governance-controlled reserves. Far-future dates are placeholders to keep totals consistent without implying release.
- All vesting/emissions that began under INST continued seamlessly under FLUID after 1:1 rebrand; token address and total supply unchanged.
Governance rebrand plan explicitly states 1:1 rename keeping address and 100M cap.
